On August 24th 2017, at approximately 15:24 hrs, Blackfalds RCMP received a call advising two male subjects driving a green jeep had pulled up beside a parked vehicle on Range RD 283 and 11A.

The green jeep was occupied by two adult males, who confronted the four youth in the parked vehicle, pulling a gun on them demanding their vehicle.

The youth fled, with the green jeep chasing behind them.

The green jeep was later located in Sylvan Lake, where the two subjects took a white Lexus SUV at gun point from a lone female driver.

RCMP Blackfalds, Sylvan Lake, Red Deer PDS and Blackfalds ITU were actively engaged searching for the two suspects.

The white Lexus was reported to be in the town of Blackfalds, where RCMP, in a high risk take down, brought two adult males into custody.

The white Lexus was not located, however some property from the Lexus was recovered in a residence in Blackfalds.

RCMP in Sylvan Lake are currently still looking for the stolen 2010 white Lexus RX350 bearing Alberta licence 2NK 843.

Blackfalds RCMP will be formally charging the two adult males later today.

RCMP are still looking for a third adult male, believed to be operating the Lexus.

The public is urged to not approach the vehicle if located, call police immediately.

An update will be provided when new information becomes available.
