There's a call out in Bentley for volunteers as work is underway to bring back a Citizens on Patrol group.

A group has not operated in the community for a number of years and as volunteer Denise Reid explains, residents want it re-established.

“There’s too much crime in the area, Bentley felt they needed something done”.

Reid says she has received plenty of interest from those willing to volunteer for community patrols, but she needs more volunteers to be part of the group's executive in order to get all of the paperwork complete to form a society.

“I need a couple more people to be on the society so we can progress further to get the program running”.

There's a meeting tonight at 7 pm at the Bentley Community Hall for anyone interested in volunteering or needing further information.
