The FCSS “Tools for School” program received some financial aid, thanks to some help from a local business.

DB Bobcat Services celebrated their 30th anniversary with a Customer and Community Appreciation BBQ, giving FCSS a chance to fundraise.

They raised $938.

FCSS accepted donations throughout the day with DB Bobcat Services matching every donation made.

It’s something Jan Pocock, Special Projects and Volunteer Coordinator, said they’re extremely grateful for.

“Last year we did 114 students so that is a lot of money. The fact that a company like this, that’s been in Lacombe for 30 years, continues to support us and knows the good work we do.”

“We work together to continue to do that.”

DB Bobcat Services is known for their heavy involvement in the community, something Owner Edie Beach said is important.

“It’s been great, but the community has also been good to us so this is our way of giving back.”

“Tools for School” is a program that ensures all kids go back to school with all the items they need to have a successful school year.
