Atco Gas stepped up to support the Penhold Fire Cadet program yesterday, delivering a cheque for 27 hundred dollars.

District Supervisor Daryl Borchuk says "community safety is a core value at Atco and by parterning with the Penhold Fire Department they're helping to keep customers and their families safe".

Penhold Fire Chief Jim Pendergast says donations like this one help pay for the cost of training and equipment for the cadets.

They've had great success with the cadet program with 3 of their original cadets now volunteer fire fighters with the Penhold Fire Deparment.
