On May 2nd, 2016, a lone male entered a gas station in Stettler brandishing a weapon and demanding money from the attendant before leaving the store.
 
Stettler RCMP attended the scene and patrolled the area in search of the male.
 
During a traffic stop shortly after, one of the Constables identified the driver as being the person responsible for the Robbery and arrested him.
 
28yr old Jayson Marshall was charged with the Robbery and related weapons offences.
 
On October 12th, 2017 Mr. Marshall plead guilty to this offence (and other unrelated matters) and was sentenced to 30 months in custody.
