Twinkle Tours was a success once again for the Lacombe Flying Clubs Christmas time fundraiser.

The annual tours, which support the Lacombe Community Food Bank gives you the chance to view the fabulous lights of Lacombe and area from up in the clouds.

The 2018 Twinkle Tours brought in $6,410.

President of the Lacombe Flying Club Jon Fromm says they'll take you on about a half hour flight around the area.

“We leave Lacombe airport and fly out past the Prentis gas plant, Joffrey, and then across between the north end of Red Deer and Blackfalds and then back up to Lacombe and around town.

Fromm is very passionate about the tours and plans on bringing it back again next year.

"The inspiration came from my hometown back in Saskatchewan the flying club there used to do this in the 80’s and 90’s, and I borrowed the idea and ran it here.”
