On February 1st, 2017 at approximately 9pm while on routine patrol an Innisfail RCMP member observed a suspicious vehicle and attempted a traffic stop.

The vehicle fled from police and was located a short time after abandoned in the middle of a road with extensive damage.

The investigation continued and within a short period of time one male and one female were arrested.

Both individuals were found to be wanted on numerous warrants and the damaged vehicle was confirmed as stolen.

27 year old Kayla Marie Cecka of Red Deer has been charged with:

Possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5000
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
Possession of counterfeit money
Obstruction
Fail to comply with a recognizance X2

25 year old Luke Andrew Jardine of Red Deer has been charged with:

Dangerous Operation of a motor vehicle
Flight from Peace Officer
Possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5000
Unauthorized possession of a firearm
Unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle
Possession of counterfeit money
Possession of substance included in Schedule 1 contrary to S 4(1) of the controlled drugs and substances act
Possession of counterfeit money
Fail to comply with a recognizance X5
Drive motor vehicle without a license
Fail to obey traffic control device
Driver in accident fail to remain/return to scene
Drive uninsured Motor Vehicle

Kayla Marie Cecka and Luke Andrew Jardine have been remanded and are expected to make their first appearance on February 3, 2017 at Red Deer provincial Court
