After Friday night’s loss to Okotoks 7-4, ending their eight-game winning streak, the Blackfalds Wranglers bounced back on Sunday (Nov.5) with a 4-3 win over Mountain View Colts.

Up 4-1 in the third, Head Coach Sean Neumeier wasn’t too pleased with the effort.

“Our third period was a nightmare. The game-winning goal was off the zamboni door. Yeah, we’ll take it, but we got to learn a lot from that. We’re up 4-1 so we’ve got to clamp it down and be a lot better than what we were.”

Neumeier said although the win wasn’t pretty, a win’s a win and especially after the end of a winning streak.

“Eight was unreal. It’s fantastic, but it’s going to come to an end and it’s how you play the next one. You can’t lose two in a row and they didn’t tonight. I’m proud of them for that, but I didn’t like how we did it.”

Next up for the Wranglers are the Red Deer Vipers at home on Tuesday (Nov. 7) at 7:30.
