The Blackfalds Wranglers snapped their four-game losing streak with a 10-3 victory over the Medicine Hat Cubs on Sunday night.

Eight different Wranglers players found the back of the net, including defenceman Brett White, who scored his first goal in over a year in the third period.

“Definitely got a monkey off my back today, that’s for sure. It feels good,” White said. “There was just a battle on the wall and I was hanging out waiting for the puck to pop out and luckily it did. I shot it, and it went in.”

Last time the Wranglers played at home, they lost 4-0 to Okotoks. They then went 0-3 on their road trip, losing to Airdrie, Medicine Hat and Ponoka.

“We’ve been in quite the little slump here. Felt good to get a really good one under our belt and put a bunch of numbers on the board,” White said.

Next up, the Wranglers host the Three Hills Thrashers on Tuesday night.

The Wranglers outshot the Cubs 65-28 on Sunday.
