After two games of the senior AAA men’s provincial final between the Lacombe Generals and Stony Plain Eagles, the series is tied 1-1.

Lacombe took the first game 4-2 on home ice last Friday but fell 4-3 in Stony Plain yesterday.

Generals defenceman Doug Jessey, who scored a goal with two assists in Game 1, could tell the series would be tight.

“(I expect) more of the same -- close games, playing in the third period, hard-fought, for sure,” Jessey said.

“I don’t think we’re going to see any blowouts either way. I think we’re going to have one and two-goal games all the way through.”

The Generals will host Game 3 on Friday, March 16.

Game 4 will be played in Stony Plain the next night.

The winner of this best-of-seven goes to the Allan Cup tournament in Rosetown, Sask.
