Red Deer Rebels find themselves one win away from advancing to the second round of the WHL playoffs after a 5-3 victory over the Lethbridge Hurricanes Thursday night.

Down 3-2 in the third period, the Rebels yet again found a way to win and have now won three out of four despite being down heading into the third period in all four games.

Lane Zablocki scored twice in the Rebels win and now has seven points (five goals, two assists) in the series.

“I feel really good and my confidence is high. As a team, we all believe and that’s what you need this time of the year. You need everyone believing and I think that’s the biggest part,” said Zablocki.

Zablocki said he realizes that it won’t be easy getting the final win and they need to continue to stay focused if they hope to move on.

“We just got to continue to try to play a full 60 minutes, watch the discipline and keep working.”

Overall, Rebels Head Coach and GM Brent Sutter is happy with how his team is playing and said for this team to be successful they need stay focused on the little things.

“Just staying with our game, got to stay strong mentally and making sure that we do the right things and don’t worry about where the score is at. We just have to make sure we are playing the right way.”

Michael Spacek aslo had a big game for the Rebels adding four assists in the win.
