The Lacombe Generals improved to 12 and 1 on the season, beating the Innisfail Eagles 4-3 at home last night.

The Gens had a 4 nothing lead going into the 3rd period, but the Eagles fought back.

Head Coach Curtis Austring says despite squeaking this one out he's happy with how his team played "you can't be perfect the whole night, so again we'd like to have some of those goals back just with some mental errors, but that's how you play this game, you don't get perfection all the time, you just strive for it".

Austring says his team did a good job regrouping "all you can really take care of is that next shift, so to refocus and again this group they're a good group, they are competitive, they want to win, we have the guys in there that want to push".

The Generals are back in action Saturday night when the welcome the Stoney Plain Eagles to town.
