A Red Deer College King basketball player earned the league’s highest individual honour.

King’s guard Ian Tevis was named the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference men’s basketball Player of the Year.

Tevis averaged 23.6 points per game in his first full season with the team, good enough for third in the ACAC.

He also contributed seven rebounds a game, 3.1 steals per game and had seven double doubles.

Tevis was also named to the ACAC South Division First All-Conference team, an All-Canadian and will represent the ACAC in the CCAA player of the year voting.

The star guard hails from Kent, Washington.
