Gens are back in action this week weekend with back to back games with the Stony Plain Eagles and the Innisfail Eagles.

First game goes tonight when the Gens host Stony Plain and Head Coach Sean Robertson said he expects another strong effort from the goalies.

“We’ve had good goaltending and you need that if you want to do the things we want to do. The system that we play is trying to limit the amount of the work they get, but they still need to make those saves and they have.”

Gens goaltender Steven Stanford said it’s going to take the entire group to be on par if they want to be successful.

“Specifically with our team we push the pace a bit and it’s a lot of skill. There are a lot of veterans in here that have been through it all too, so we lean on them a lot.”

Gens play Innisfail on Saturday. Both Games are being played at the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex at 8 p.m.
