The Lacombe Generals look to continue their dominance in Chinook Hockey League action this weekend.

The 15-3 Generals kickoff a two-game homestand against the Rosetown Red Wings inside the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex on Saturday.

Head Coach Curtis Austring said the team needs to limit their giveaways if they want to be successful.

“Last time we played them we turned the puck over and they transitioned really well and had some out- numbered rushes. They got some talent and they score,” said Austring.

The Generals are coming off a 5-4 overtime win against the Innisfail Eagles last weekend.

Austring said he expects the Redwings to come out hard and that his team needs to bring their "A" game if they look to continue their winnings ways.

“It’s common sense at the end of the day, but you need to manage the puck really well and again keep those turnovers to a minimum. Keep a good F-3 and keep even numbers coming back to our net,” said Austring.

The Generals wrap up the weekend on Sunday with a game against the last place Fort Saskatchewan Chiefs. Game times are 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.
