Lacombe Dodgers went 1-1 in their doubleheader against the Airdrie Brewers on Sunday, with a 3-2 win in game one followed by a 9-8 loss in game two.

Player-Manager Andre Touchette said although they expected to win both games, they’ll take the split.

“The second one was kind of disappointing, we definitely came in knowing we should probably get both, but one out of two I guess we’ll take it.”

Touchette said two wins would have been nice, but has to give credit to the Brewers.

“They put the balls in play, they don’t really make errors and they capitalized on our mistakes. We didn’t deserve to be in that second game, but that’s the way it goes I guess.”

Next up for the Dodgers is tonight’s home game against the Red Deer Razorbacks.
