The Lacombe Dodgers continued their hot start to their season last night, beating the Red Deer Razorbacks 3-0.

They remain undefeated and have out-scored their opponents 14-1 over their first two games.

Second Baseman Andre Touchette says after winning the Parkland Baseball League Championship last year, they're happy with the way they've come out of the gates this season.

"We're hoping to do it again this year. We're just kind of working out a few kinks still though, but hopefully if we can keep it up at this rate we'll be back there again."

Touchette says while the bats have been hot in these first two games, their defense has been just as good.

"Our defense is playing well. Our pitching has been stellar, throwing strikes. We've said it before, as long as our pitchers are throwing strikes and we don't make any errors we'll be competitive in every game."

It's a busy week for the Dodgers who will play again Friday in Red Deer, and Saturday in Innisfail.
