The Central Alberta U14AA Sting ringette team clinched a gold medal at the Pacific Ring Tournament in Vancouver this past weekend.

In fact the team went undefeated when matched up against the top three U14 ringette teams in BC.

In their first match-up against Vancouver's LMRL team, they came out on top 7-4. Sting goal scorers were Sydney Schnoor (4), Shaelynn Law (2) and Eden Cade (1)

The Sting won their second game vs the Okanagan TORL team 5-2. Sting goal scorers were Shaelynn Law (4), Eden Cade (1).

In their final round-robin game the sting kept the Prince George Northstars off the scoreboard 11-0. Sting goalie Madison Kohut earned the shutout. Sting goal scorers were Jada MacDonnell (3), Katelyn Jeglum (2), Ryann Tonery (2), Leah Desilets (1), Payton Pluister (1), Eden Cade (1), Shaelynn Law (1).

In the Semi final game, the Sting once again played the Prince George Northstars team, winning this time 4-2. Sting goal scorers were Shaelynn Law (2), Sydney Schnoor (1), Katelyn Jeglum (1).

The Sting won a thrilling Gold Medal Championship game in Overtime. They defeated the host Vancouver LMRL team 3-2 in extra time. Sting goal scorers were Sydney Schnoor (1), Ryann Tonery (1), and Shaelynn Law (1)
