Central Alberta Selects started the South Central Alberta Hockey League Midget AA playoffs in style with a 4-3 comeback win over the Olds Grizzlys.

Selects were down 3-2 with just under ten minutes lets in the game, when Captain Elijah Funkhouser scored twice to secure the win.

"My linemates didn't make it too hard for me. They gave me two pretty good passes and I did the easy part. It felt pretty good," said Funkhouser.

Assistant Coach Matt Michalezki said he didn't like the way they played for 60 minutes, but was happy to get the win.

"We got ahead early, but second period we laid back, we were on our heals and they took it to us, but our goalie kept us in it and the third period, in the last 10 minutes, we took it to them hard, " said Michalezki.

Selects play against the Red Deer Elks in their second game of the Round Robin Friday night at 5:30 inside the Gary Moe Auto Group Sportsplex.
