Battle River Shock take aim at their first win of season when they head to Edmonton on Saturday to face the Chargers in minor football action.

Head Coach Maren Stevens said it won’t be easy, but likes their chances if they stick to their game plan.

“Our defence made huge strides last weekend and did a good job of shutting down the Lloydminster run game so I think that will carry forward and help versus the Chargers which is the strength of their team.”

“If we can cap that, we’ve got a good chance.”

Maren said they’ll be up for the challenge.

“Offensively (the Chargers) are set up to stop the run, but of course we are set up as a run-pass option so if we can get the ball out quick and get it into our playmakers’ hands our guys will be able to make some plays.”

The Shock have started their season 0-4.
