Remembrance Day Service @ Bentley School Elementary Gym – 5314 49th Street
- Starts at 1:00 PM.
- General Public welcome, donations will be accepted for the Royal Canadian Legion.
Penhold
November 9th
Remembrance Day Memorial Service @ Penhold Regional Multiplex – 1 Waskasoo Avenue
- Starts at 7:00 PM.
On November 11th
Lacombe
Remembrance Day Service @ Lacombe Memorial Centre - 5214 50 Ave
- Starts at 10:45 AM.
- Arrive early for best parking.
Bells of Peace Ceremony @ St. Andrew’s United Church 5226 – 51st Avenue
- From 4:30 PM – 5:15 PM.
- A commemorative bell ringing ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.
Meals at Lacombe Legion - 5138 49th Street
- 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM – Community Breakfast (by donation).
- 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Light Lunch.
- 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM – Community Potluck (bring enough for your family plus one more).
Blackfalds
Remembrance Day Ceremony @ Abbey Centre – 4500 Womacks Road
- Starts at 10:30.
- Parking is limited, arrive early.
- Most of the service will be indoors but a brief ceremony will take place outdoors at the Cenotaph.
Red Deer
Red Deer Legion Service @ Servus Arena - 4725 43rd Street
- Starts at 10:30 AM.
- Parking and overflow parking is available at the Servus Arena.
The Korean War Veterans Association Service @ Veterans Park – 49th Ave and Ross Street
- Starts at 10:30 AM.
- Parking options include Sorensen Station Parkade, downtown lots, and on-street parking.
- If taking transit, Veterans Park is a 300m walk from Sorensen Station.
Bells of Peace Ceremony @ Gaetz Memorial United Church – 4758 50th Street
- Starts at 5:00 PM
Sylvan Lake
Remembrance Day Ceremony @ NexSource Centre – 4823 49th Avenue
- Starts at 10:30 AM.
- Asking for people to arrive around 10:00 to have time for seating.
Bells of Peace Commemorative Ceremony @ Memorial Presbyterian Church – 5020 48th Street
- Starts at 4:45 PM
- A commemorative bell ringing ceremony to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice.
- As the sun goes down, bells will ring 100 times in communities across the country to honour the sarifices of Canadians who served in World War 1.
Innisfail
The Innisfail Legion’s Remembrance Day Memorial Service @ Innisfail Legion - 5108 49 Ave
- Starts at 9:45 AM.
- Service takes place in the auditorium with video replay in the clubroom for overflow.
- Wreath laying ceremony at the Cenotaph at 10:45 AM.
- Sandwiches and refreshments will be served at the Legion after the service.
