On March 9, High Level RCMP members were conducting proactive patrols in order to locate a suspect who had multiple outstanding warrants. Upon attending a residence known to police, a suspect, who out on conditions not to enter the residence, was seen within. A few minutes later, a 911 call was received about a possible shooting in High Level, Alta. This call was later determined to be fraudulent and originated from the residence. Members entered the residence, conducted arrests and obtained a search warrant.

As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized:

  • 363(g) of Psilocybin;
  • 183(g) of suspected Cocaine;
  • 60.85(g) of suspected Methamphetamine;
  • 3.05(g) of porous chunk of suspected drugs;
  • 76 tablets of suspected drugs;
  • Ammunition; and
  • Drug trafficking paraphernalia including baggies, scales and cell phones.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals arrested:

  • Tyson Lance Konda-Martel (33), a resident of Bushe River, was charged with:
    • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2);
    • Possession of ammunition while prohibited; and
    • Failure to comply with release order (x3).

 

  • Jessica Mabel Marie Flett (25), a resident of High Level, Alta. was charged with:
    • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x2);
    • Possession of ammunition while prohibited; and
    • Failure to comply with release order (x4).

 

  • Dustin Wade Bulldog (37), a resident of Red Deer, Alta., who was out on a Parole Warrant, was charged with:
    • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (x3); and
    • Possession of ammunition while prohibited (x2).

 

  • Jason Lee Kidney (37), a resident of Bushe River, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

 

Konda-Martel, Flett and Bulldog were brought before a justice of the peace and were remanded into custody. They are to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in High Level on March 25, 2024. Kidney was released on conditions.
