On July 16, 2021 at approximately 4:30 p.m., Innisfail RCMP responded to an alert from the Calgary Police Service regarding a stolen truck which was being tracked by GPS and was believed to be in the Innisfail area.

The vehicle, which was reported to be stolen out of Calgary, had failed to stop for Calgary City Police and had driven dangerously throughout the city. Police arrived in the area and located a male and female suspect as they were being picked up by unsuspecting civilians.
