You don’t have to go too far to celebrate Canada Day! Lacombe Regional Tourism will be hosting variety of fun activities this July 1st at Cranna Lake.

People will have the opportunity to explore the Night Market, play some games, and enjoy live performances by Dalton & Delaney and The Rojo’s.

Executive Director of Lacombe Regional Tourism, says it will be a cost effective way to celebrate the occasion. All of the games will be free to participate in.

“That is free for everybody to come down and enjoy. Of course, there might be a couple lineups here and there, but yes, we will be having some games out for everybody to come down and enjoy,” said Weaver.

Although Lacombe Regional Tourism has been able to host Canada Day activities throughout the pandemic, Weaver says we can expect a little bit more from this year’s festival.

“This year will be much different as we return to a post pandemic year and we will have a festival, we've got our night market going on, we've got some food trucks down there, games, live entertainment, and of course, the fireworks show that is sponsored by Vesta Energy," said Weaver.

The Executive Director is looking forward to seeing everyone enjoy the event.

“We'll be down at the Lacombe Regional Tourism booth all evening and we look forward to having a good time on Canada Day we can't wait to see everybody,” said Weaver.

The event will start at 4:30PM and will wrap-up with the fireworks at dusk around 10:30 PM.  For more information on the event, click here.
