Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you pet of the week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

Purdy

This is Purdy!

Hello, my name is Purdy and I’m a 5 year old female Dalmation who was lucky enough to get an exclusive tour of the Lacombe Fire Department! It makes sense, because Dalmations are commonly known for being fire dogs – riding in the trucks and keeping the firefighters company while they do their duties at the station.

One thing to note, Dalmations as a breed as notorious for being hearing impaired as they reach adulthood and unfortunately I wasn’t one of the lucky ones who dodged it. So yes, I am deaf. But don’t let that deter you from adopting me! I’m a very friendly pooch who will continue to give you all the love in the world even though I won’t come when my name is called. Running in a field is one of my all-time favorite things to do! I’m a very social dog that gets along well with other dogs, new humans, and even cats. I have energy but will also be totally okay with relaxing and unwinding with you after a long day at work.

I am spayed and all caught up on my routine vaccinations such as rabies and kennel cough. There are so many other dogs and cats at CARES just like me who are looking for their new forever home. Book an appointment with CARES to meet me and get the adoption process started! Just CLICK HERE. See you soon!
