Meet Tabs and Taccito!

Hello, my name is Tabs! I’m the Chihuahua on the left with the black and brown markings. I weigh only 3 pounds – fully grown! I’m 4 years old. I came to the shelter as an owner surrender who couldn’t afford the dental work I needed… but the ladies at CARES got it all taken care of and now I have a healthy mouth!

I’m a very quiet pooch, I rarely bark! I’m also very social – Taccito is one of my best friends here at the shelter but I know that one day we may be separated and that’s okay! Since I’m so small and quiet I would make the perfect apartment dog. Be cautious though, a dog my size tends to be more fragile than other breeds so I would need to go to a home that can assure my safety! I get along well with new humans, other dogs, and kids!

Hi, I’m Taccito! Pronounced like the Mexican snack ‘Taquito’ – but I can assure you I am not filled with cheese and spicy beef. I am a 6 year old Chihuahua who was surrendered by my owner would couldn’t afford the dental bills necessary to keep me healthy. It’s okay though, the staff at CARES took care of me and despite not having any teeth, I’m much more comfortable!

Tabs is one of my best friends here at the shelter but if he goes to a different house than me I’ll be just as thrilled – we don’t need to be adopted together. I’m very social with other dogs and humans so I’ll fit in well with nearly every type of home! Since my dental situation is unique I will require some extra care – but I’m totally worth it! I will love you and cuddle you and be a good boy!
