Sunny 94 has partnered with Central Alberta Rescue Effort Shelter (C.A.R.E.S) to bring you Pet of the Week! Each Wednesday we feature a new, super friendly, totally adoptable dog or cat. We’ll tell you a bit about them in hopes you’ll go to CARES, meet them, fall in love, and take them home with you!

This is Lelo!

Do I look familiar? That's because I was Pet of the Week a little while ago... I still need a home!

Hi, my name is Lelo! You know the Disney movie ‘Lilo and Stich’? My name is pronounced just like that! I am a 5 year old French bulldog mixed with pug. I came to the shelter as a surrender a little while ago and although I’m sad to have said goodbye to my old life, I am happy to be given the opportunity to become part of a new family! 

I am a very friendly girl who gets along well with other dogs. I share the space at CARES with plenty of others and I don’t get territorial nor do I growl at them! I’m typically very quiet with little to no barking. I have a soft temper and even softer fur! Snuggling and cuddling aren’t something I do very often but sometimes I’ll fall asleep right beside you on the couch. I would say I’m the best of both worlds – I really enjoy being outside and taking walks but I also don’t mind relaxing! Give me some time to adjust to new faces, I'm a little nervous in new scenerios.

I am spayed and all caught up on my vaccinations such as rabies and kennel cough. I would love for you to come to CARES and meet me! If you have kids/other dogs/cats that live with you it’s always a good idea to bring them when you meet me to make sure we all get along. Let me be a part of your fur-ever family!
