Feb 22nd is Pink T-Shirt Day! A day when all across Canada people wear a pink shirt to stop bullying!

Here is how the organization describes Pink T-Shirt Day:

Bullying is a major problem in our schools, workplaces, homes, and over the Internet. Each year, on Pink T-Shirt Day, I encourage all of you to wear something pink to symbolize that we as a society will not tolerate bullying anywhere. Take the message and remember it all year long.

It is so important that victims of bullying know they are not alone and there is help and support available. Wearing a pink shirt on this day sends a strong message to them that others care. Often, the simple act of wearing a shirt can start conversations - conversations can be a big step towards healing and helping!

Sunny 94 is proud to promote a more loving, tolerant world and we wear our pink shirts today to signify that!

Also today was another day of Central Alberta CO-OP sticker spotting. I headed out with some free gas cards to give away to any Sunny listeners who have a limited edition 10th anniversary sticker on their vehicle! Don’t have one of our stickers yet, stop by the studio on Highway 2A in Lacombe anytime Mon-Fri 8:30am to 4:30pm

And finally don’t forget the Mary C Moore Public Library in Lacombe has their Adult Colouring Program on tonight from 6-8pm. It is free to attend and all the art supplies are provided!
