With the snowfall it really is starting to feel a lot like Christmas. If you want to get even more into the holiday spirit take some time out and head to the Calnash Ag Event Center for The 5th Annual Ponoka Festival of Trees.

At last night's opening gala over 240 people attended the event, which included a dinner, both silent and live auctions and money raised for the local hospital.

Some of the other events include:

Friday-The Senior's Tea from 3:00 to 4:30. It includes coffee, tea and Christmas goodies.

Saturday-Breakfast With Santa. Doors open at 8:30. Adults $20.00, Kids 12 and under $10.00, Tables of 12 also available.

General admission is also available to check out the trees both Friday and Saturday.

Money raised goes to support The Ponoka and District Health Foundation.
