The Farm Credit Corporation is offering support to Prairie farmers who are facing financial hardship because of wet weather during this year's harvest.

The agricultural lender says rain and snow have caused significant harvesting delays in many areas and reduced the quality of crops.

The corporation says it will help producers through financial troubles the bad weather has caused and will consider deferral of principal payments and amendments to loan payment schedules to reduce financial pressure.

The Farm Credit Corporation has a loan portfolio of more than 28-billion dollars.
